Difference Between White Ptfe gasket And Black Ptfe gasket

There are 3 main Difference Between White Ptfe gasket And Black Ptfe gasket:

 

1) Material difference

The black PTFE gasket is composed of carbon and PTFE, color is black. 

The white PTFE gasket is only composed of pure PTFE material, color is white.

 

2) physical property difference

Due to the composition of the black PTFE gasket and the white PTFE gasket are different, the physical properties of the two are also different. The black PTFE gasket has better elastic and toughness, strong pressure resistance. And black PTFE gaskets are more suitable for using in high temperature and high pressure environments.

The white PTFE gasket has properties of better corrosion resistance and flame retardant. The white PTFE gasket will also adsorb the medium, thereby increasing its sealing performance, making it more suitable for use in chemical, petroleum and food and other occasions with higher requirements for health environment.

 

3) application difference

Due to the different nature of black PTFE gaskets and white PTFE gaskets, they have their own advantages in different applications.

Black PTFE gaskets are usually used in high temperature and high pressure applications, such as chemical, shipbuilding, steel, electric power and other industries.  The white PTFE gasket is commonly used in the fields of corrosion prevention, sealing and high temperature resistance, such as medicine, food, oil and gas industries.
